About Wendy
Wendy enjoyed English at school and later went on to study at Southampton University, graduating with a First in English. She has always enjoyed creative writing, experimenting with short stories and even poetry. Writing a novel was something she had always wanted to do but never had the time.
Wendy was born and raised in the South of England, living in Pangbourne (near Reading) and Bournemouth. She spent much of her adult life living in Salisbury, where her books are set, before moving to Brittany in the North of France. During the Covid pandemic she moved to North Tyneside, just outside of Newcastle upon Tyne where she lives with her husband and two cats. She spends her time singing in a local community choir, exploring her new home region, researching for her new books and of course, writing!
Wendy started writing her first novel, in 2020 while living in France. Several re-writes, a return to the UK and four years later ‘The Mystery of the Missing Brooch’ was published in October 2024, with the ‘The Mystery of the Missing Wallet’ following in April 2025.
The third instalment of The Salisbury Murders: The Mystery of the Missing Child’, is due for release in Autumn 2025 and there are many more to follow.
Miss Marple meets The Thursday Murder Club with a brilliant new contemporary British author, Wendy Boynton. I couldn’t put it down. It held my attention to the last very end. - SS Baggott (on Amazon)
