Autumn update

September was a relaxing month for me. I went to several author events with my son and daughter-in-law, seeing LJ Ross, Richard Armitage, David J Gatward, Kathy Reichs and Sir Ian Rankin. Wow!

I also went on holiday to the Isle of Wight with my wonderful husband and we were blessed with sunshine almost every day. And we squeezed in a visit to Salisbury to visit my younger son and family. No research this time, just quality time with family,

But what’s happening with the books, you ask?

I’m relaxed and back into writing mode now, so I’m making good progress on book five. I’ve also been planning some of the story lines for Meg and Lauren going forward into books six and seven.

And, most importantly of all, I am super excited about the publication of book three: The Mystery of the Missing Child on 17th October!

I’ve had some lovely reviews back from ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) readers:

It was so lovely to catch up with Meg and Lauren again as they investigate a crime that is particularly pertinent in today's fragmented society. With twists and turns galore, the author's writing is compulsively good. I couldn't put the book down.” Ann-Marie Lowery

“Having read the previous two books, I wasn’t sure how the author could continue with the series as the first two books were very good. How wrong I was …There are twists and turns and new characters being brought into the story on every page. It’s not until the last few pages the story line dropped into place and I could see who had taken the child and why. It’s definitely another page turner and once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down until I had finished it. The author’s writing is going from strength to strength and I for one can’t wait to read the next book in the series.” Pauline Totten

“Wendy continues to enthrall me with her ability to draw me into these stories! Great characters who are still developing as you read. Loved the twists and turns in the plot which left me wanting to read on. Another great book in the Salisbury Murders. Bring on the next book, Wendy!” Dawn Bentley

“I loved book three; think it’s the best so far. The twists and turns are challenging to guess. The relationship was realistic with lovely romance blooming. I was never bored and ploughed through it in two days.” Susan Sams-Baggott.
